3 Days Tour from Fes to Merzouga Itinerary:
Day 1: From the cultural city of Fes to Merzouga desert
Our 3-day tour of Morocco from Fes to the Merzouga Desert starts at 8:00am. Your driver will take you to Ifrane, a beautiful city in Morocco. While there, you’ll see a famous white lion statue. We’ll also visit the Ziz Valley and Midelt, where you can take pictures of the large source of dates. Our journey takes us to Erfoud, and finally to the Merzouga desert. At our well-equipped camp, we’ll enjoy mint tea, go on a camel ride, and try sandboarding as we watch the sunset. We’ll end the day with a Berberine music show under the stars.
Day 2: Merzouga discovery
Our second day of our 3 day tour in Morocco will take you to the desert to explore the Berber culture. First, we’ll go to the Oasis of Hassilabied, a unique oasis in the desert. Then, we’ll visit the Nomads, a community living in tents near the Algerian border. You can try local food and experience their warm hospitality. Next, we’ll go to M’Ifiss to learn about the history of fossil and Kohl mines. We’ll also visit Khamlia to experience the Gnaoua people’s traditional music and dance. At sunset, we’ll take you to see the stunning view of the sun setting over the desert from the top of Merzouga’s sand dunes. Finally, we will return you to your hotel for a good night’s rest before the next day’s adventures.
Day 3: From Merzouga desert to Fes
On the last day of your Morocco 3-day tour from Fes to Merzouga desert, we’ll start with breakfast at the hotel before heading to Fes. Along the way, we’ll stop for coffee in Errachidia and see the impressive Errachidia dam. The road we travel gives amazing views from Tizi-Ntlghamt.
