On the second day, you will go to Todra Gorges, Tinghir, and Tinjedad and then ride camels to a Berber camp in the desert. Moreover, on the third day, you will drive to Ouarzazate and stay the night there. Finally, on the fourth day, you will return to Marrakech.
4 Days Tour From Marrakech to Merzouga Itinerary:
Day 1: Marrakech to Boumalne Dades
On the first day of our 4-day tour from Marrakech to the desert of Merzouga, we start our journey towards Boumalne Dades. The day begins with your morning pickup, from there, we embark on a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains. Winding through the bends of the Tizi Ntichka pass, a renowned Moroccan route spanning approximately 200 kilometers. Firstly, we pass by an argan oil cooperative (optional). Secondly, we will make another stop at the top of the mountain of Tichka, which stands at an elevation of 2,260 meters. Our main stop today is Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its fortified village and Berber Mud Houses.
Following a delectable lunch, our path guides us to Gorges Dades, with captivating stops along the way in Ouarzazate, Skoura, and Rose valleys. At the end of the day, we arrive in Boumalne, where we arrive at Dades Gorges for a restful overnight stay.
Day 2: Boumalne Dades to Merzouga desert
Today is the highlight of our 4-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga. You will experience the beauty of the desert on the back of a camel. Not to mention, spending the night under the stars, which will be unforgettable. The adventure starts with a scenic drive through the Dades Valley, and then you will walk through Toudgha Gorges to explore its unique features. After that, we will continue to Merzouga, with stops in Tinghir and Tinjedad for lunch. When we arrive at the Erg-Chebbi desert, we will ride camels and explore the beautiful golden dunes. After enjoying a traditional dinner, the enchanting desert night begins with Berber drums and a warm campfire beneath the starry sky.
Day 3: Merzouga desert to Ouarzazate
On the third day of our 4-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, we kick-start our adventure with a delicious breakfast in the desert camp. After the return to Merzouga on camels( (or car), we will take a different route this time. Our first stop takes us to the city of Rissani, where we introduce you to the vibrant traditional souks, teeming with local life and treasures.
Continuing our journey, we drive the charming Berber villages and historical kasbahs. Unfolding the rich tapestry of the region’s heritage. Our ultimate destination for the day is truly unique – often referred to as Moroccan Ouallywood. This city not only attracts tourists but also beckons movie directors. It has served as the backdrop for renowned films and series, including cinematic gems like Gladiator, iconic Game of Thrones, and gripping Prison Break. As night falls, we will spend the night in this captivating city.
Day 4: Ouarzazate to Marrakech
It’s our last day of the 4-day trip from Marrakech to Merzouga. We’re touring through the pretty Anti and High Atlas Mountains. We stop at beautiful spots to enjoy the views. At the end of the day, we arrive in Marrakech.
