Tour From Marrakech to Fes Itinerary:

Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Gorges

The 5-day desert Tours from Marrakech to Fes begins with your pickup from our meeting place in Marrakech. Our first leg takes us across the Tizi Ntichka pass, which has a height of 2260 meters and a length of around 200 kilometers. We’ll stop along the road to see a cooperative that produces argan oil, which is used in cosmetics. Following that, we’ll go to the famed Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, passing via other kasbahs on the way.

We’ll also go to Ouarzazate, called “Ouallywood” because of its Atlas Studios. It is a place where many movies were filmed like like Game of Thrones and Prison Break. We’ll have lunch in town and then continue to Dades Gorges where we’ll spend the night.

Today, we will go on a desert trip as part of a 5-day tour from Marrakech to Fes. We will drive through pretty valleys and stop at the Todra Gorges. These canyons are very tall, people climb and take pictures there. After we explore the area, we will drive through small Berber villages and have lunch in Tinghir or Tinjedad. After lunch, we will go to the Merzouga desert, which is the best part of the trip. We will ride on camels through the golden sand, watch the sunset, and go to a camp in the middle of the desert. At the camp, we will have a delicious Moroccan dinner, surround the campfire, and listen to drumming under the stars. It will be a special night.

During our 5-day tour from Marrakech to Fes, we’ll spend the third day exploring the desert. First, we’ll visit Nomads, who are Morocco’s indigenous people, to learn about their way of life. Then, we’ll go to Glb Nass to see the Sahara dunes and the kohl mine in M’Ifiss, which was used by the French colonial dominion. We’ll have dinner in Khamlia, where we can meet the Gnawa people and listen to their music. They have unique rhythms and dances to share with us. Lastly, we’ll visit other places like the Hassi Labied Oases and the Museum of 4×4 cars.

After breakfast, we continue our 5-day desert tour from Marrakech to Fes towards Midelt. Our first stop will be at the Rissani market, which is a great traditional market in southeast Morocco. After that, we’ll go to Erfoud, where there are lots of fossils to look at. Then we’ll see the Ziz Valley, which is where a lot of dates come from in Morocco. We’ll stop at a really pretty place to see all the palm trees. Next, we’ll see the Errachidia Dam, which provides water for people in the region. We’ll finally arrive in Midelt for the night.

The last day of your 5 days desert tour from Marrakech to Fes features a welcome change of scenery. We will begin the day by driving again through the High Atlas Mountains. In a while, we drive to Meknes, one of the 4 imperial cities of Morocco. Our exploration of the city begins with a visit to Sahrij Souani, a picturesque lake in the city’s center. The tour of Meknes will resume with visits to Lhdim Square and Bab Mansour. After exploring the grandeur and history of Meknes, we will travel to the neighboring city of Volubilis. Home to the Roman ruins and the former capital of the Mauritanian Kingdom. Finally, at the end of the day, we will drive to Fes.
