9 Days Desert Tour From Casablanca Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival at Casablanca

Today, we begin our 9-day desert tour from Casablanca. A driver who will also be your guide will meet you at Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport and take you to your hotel or riad.

After breakfast, we will go to Hassan II Mosque before going to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. In Rabat, we will see the Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum, and Oudaya Kasbah. After that  we will have lunch and then drive over the Rif mountains to Chefchaouen. When we arrive, it’s a good idea to go for a hike up the Rif mountains, near the Spanish mosque, to watch the sunset. We will stay overnight in the hotel.

On this day, you have a morning free to explore Chefchaouen. Take a walk to Ras El Ma and Weta Lhmam Square while enjoying the blue walls in the city. After lunch, we will head to Fes and stay there overnight.

On day four of our 9-day Casablanca desert tour, a local guide will show you around Fes, which is one of the oldest cities in Morocco. It has a complete medieval feel and even has the world’s first university, which dates back to the 9th century. The city looks like it’s from a different time, surrounded by big walls for defense. The guide will take you to the famous tanneries and the Karaouine mosque in the old part of the city. You’ll have lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant and then go to the Merinid tombs for a panoramic view of the city. You’ll then spend the night in a hotel or a traditional house called a riad.

Today, we are going on a trip to the south-east through the mountains and forests to see some beautiful places. We will pass by Ifrane, which is a pretty ski resort, and Azrou, which is famous for its woodwork. Then we will go to Erfoud via some other towns and a valley full of palm trees. Later, we will arrive to Merzouga and we will ride camels for an hour and a half to reach the desert camp, where we will spend the night in a Berber tent. There, we will hear some local music and can try sand surfing. We will also enjoy watching the sunset from the top of the big dunes.

On day 6 of the Casablanca 9-day desert tour, we recommend getting up early to see the sunrise over the sand dunes. Then, head back to your campsite for breakfast and a shower. We’ll drive to Tinghir, passing through Tafilalet, Erfoud, and Tinejdad. After lunch, we’ll continue to Todra Gorges, stopping for pictures and enjoying the view. Once we arrive in Todra Gorges, you can hike through the canyons before spending the night in Dades Valley.

Today, we’re going on a special trip! First, we’re going to visit a pretty town called Kalaa Mgouna. It’s famous for its roses, which they turn into perfumes and rosewater. In May, they have a fun festival to celebrate the roses. On the way to our next stop, Skoura, we’ll see lots of old buildings called ‘kasbahs’ that are special to Morocco. Skoura is a small town with lots of palm trees and beautiful kasbahs. Then, we’ll go to Ouarzazate, where they make lots of movies. There, we’ll visit a famous place called Ait Ben Haddou’s Kasbah, where we can explore and try some local food. Next, we’ll drive through a high mountain range, the High Atlas Mountains, and see great views. Finally, we’ll get to our last stop, Marrakech, where we have a nice place to stay.

We are going to explore Marrakech with a local guide today. It is an important city in Morocco. We will see many places like the Majorelle Garden, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Ben Youssef Quranic Mosque, and a market in Marrakech’s old town. You can have lunch by yourself at Jemaa El-Fna Square. Then we will visit Koutoubia, the city’s biggest mosque. Overnight back in your hotel.
